John and Sarah are sitting on opposite sides of a breakfast bar table.
“We don’t have much time,” he was saying. “You think it’s ok? After all that’s happened?” she was saying, annoyed.
Both were talking at the same time. Neither were listening to one another.
“I don’t know how we got here, but let’s make use of it,” he said. “I mean, why did you leave? No explanation, nothing. You just got up an left,” she was saying.
He began to raise his voice as he stood, leaning over the bench towards her. “Why are you spending this time complaining?” he said.
Suddenly the other person disappeared and each was left alone.
